Payment and Refund Policy

Last Updated

This Payment and Refund Policy was last updated on 23 September 2026.

Scope of This Policy

This policy applies to all payments made for access to Course A professional resources offered by showspinely. These resources cover studio equipment setup, dynamic camera operation, lighting and sound waves, and workflows for television news and live shows. The policy covers purchases of digital courses, subscriptions, and related services delivered via our commercial website to customers in the United Kingdom. It explains how payments are handled, when contracts are formed, and the circumstances under which refunds may be issued. The policy does not cover third-party products or services purchased through external links.

Prices, Currencies, Taxes and Additional Charges

All prices on the site are displayed in British Pounds Sterling. Value Added Tax at the prevailing UK rate is included where applicable for consumers. Additional charges such as currency conversion fees imposed by your payment provider may apply and are your responsibility. We do not add hidden fees for standard digital delivery. Price changes may occur, but the price at the time of purchase remains fixed for that transaction.

Accepted Payment Methods, Authorisation and Security

We accept major credit and debit cards, bank transfers where arranged, and approved digital wallets. Payment is authorised at the point of purchase through secure third-party processors. All transactions use encryption to protect card details. We do not store full payment card information on our systems. Authorisation confirms sufficient funds and may involve a temporary hold that is released if the transaction is declined.

Order Confirmation and Contract Formation

After submitting payment details you will receive an order confirmation email containing details of the course or subscription purchased. The contract is formed when we send this confirmation and you gain access credentials. Until then no binding agreement exists. You should check the confirmation email immediately and contact us via the details below if any information appears incorrect.

Cancellation Rights and Applicable Periods

Under UK consumer law you have a 14-day cooling-off period from the date of purchase for most distance contracts. This allows cancellation without giving a reason. However for digital content the right ends once you begin downloading or streaming the material, provided you gave prior express consent to starting early and acknowledged loss of the right. Subscriptions may be cancelled at the end of the current billing period with no pro-rata refund unless otherwise stated.

Refund Eligibility, Exclusions and Non-Refundable Items

Refunds are available within the cooling-off period if you have not accessed the digital content. Once access begins or the 14 days expire refunds are not provided except in cases of technical fault preventing use. Promotional offers, gift subscriptions and completed live workshop elements are non-refundable. Services already performed are excluded from refund.

Step-by-Step Procedure to Request a Refund

To request a refund email [email protected] with your order number, full name, and reason for the request. Include any relevant screenshots showing access issues. Requests must be made within the applicable time limits. We will acknowledge receipt within two working days and may ask for further information to process the claim.

Inspection, Approval, Rejection and Notification

Upon receiving your request we inspect whether access was made and whether the cooling-off period applies. Approval is granted if criteria are met; rejection occurs if access has begun or time limits are exceeded. You will be notified of the decision by email within ten working days, including reasons for any rejection and information on how to appeal if you disagree.

Refund Method, Processing Time and Receipt of Funds

Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method. Processing takes up to fourteen days after approval, though bank transfer times vary. You will receive confirmation once the refund is sent. Chargeback fees or currency losses are not reimbursed.

Special Rules for Digital Content, Subscriptions and Promotional Offers

Digital courses are delivered instantly upon payment. Once streaming or downloading commences the cancellation right is lost. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled through your account settings. Promotional pricing applies only to the first term; subsequent periods are charged at standard rates. No refunds are given for partial use of subscription periods.

Failed Payments, Duplicate Charges, Chargebacks and Suspected Fraud

If a payment fails you will be notified and access withheld until resolved. Duplicate charges are investigated and refunded automatically where confirmed. Chargebacks are treated as cancellations and may result in account suspension. Suspected fraudulent activity leads to immediate order cancellation and reporting to relevant authorities. You remain liable for legitimate purchases even if disputed.

Mandatory Consumer Rights in the United Kingdom

This policy does not affect your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, or UK GDPR. You may still claim for faulty digital content or services not provided with reasonable care and skill. These rights cannot be excluded by contract and take precedence over this policy where they provide greater protection.
